Behind the little church in the village of Agios Athanasios, housed in a warm and welcoming traditional house is the tavern Skourouvinnos. The owner along with his ever helpful and willing staff, succeeded, with great care, professionalism and love, to transform this small place into a hot spot for the gourmands of traditional meze. It has become a favourite hangout for friends visiting the tavern from every corner of Cyprus to taste original dishes such as souvlaki stick with halloumi and aubergine, and cheese balls with basil sauce, cooked with great skill by the owner who is also the chef of the restaurant.
